The Creative and Performing Arts faculty offers an extensive range of extra-curricular activities for students with a passion for the Arts.
From Dance and Drama to Music Ensembles, there is something to cater for all students. Our Ensemble program is directed by teaching staff and Peripatetics’, and rehearsals are held in the mornings before school and in the afternoons after school. Students commit to their choice of ensemble and there is a term or annual fee to cover the costs of Ensemble Director’s, performances and music/equipment.
Each ensemble has performance opportunities both within the school and outside. Showcase and MADD are concerts that take place each year at Cherrybrook, and students are selected to perform at these evenings. Students are also regularly selected and invited to perform at assemblies and year assemblies. Some of the ensemble groups also compete in competitions and eisteddfods.
An annual HSC performance night also takes place in conjunction with Visual Arts displays of major works. Ensembles offered:

Productions
At CTHS we present full school musical productions which includes a large cast, orchestra and production team. These productions have been very successful with strong attendance from the local community, including primary schools, nursing homes, family and friends, with matinee and evening performances.
Past productions include HMS Pinafore, Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Little Shop of Horrors, The Wiz and Annie.
