CTHS x Sogeri PNG Fundraising Night
The CTHS x Sogeri PNG Fundraising Night is set for Saturday October 26th and is taking place in our very own CTHS MPC (school hall).
The night will include a 3-course meal, games, trivia, loads of prizes, the CTHS Big Band, performances by our students, silent auctions (including art pieces made by our talented student body) and more… did we mention prizes? It’s a night to showcase excellence in public education and develop global citizenship amongst our students.
The event is in honour of our sister school in Papua New Guinea, Sogeri National School of Excellence. The students of Sogeri National School of Excellence Papua New Guinea have been selected to attend the school based purely on academic excellence. There are only a handful of Schools of Excellence in PNG. They hail from provinces across PNG, meaning students have had to move away from their families and their communities to board at the school. These students are blindingly bright and are keen to be the catalysts for change in their families and provinces. We believe in their power to enact this change.
The Stage 6 students spearheading this project are so excited about this fundraiser and have been working hard to bring it all together. To boost wellbeing and keep their spirits up while away from their families, the students and staff have asked for the funds raised from this night to be directed towards their sporting facilities and dormitories, two projects in need of urgent care and attention. All profits will be transferred directly to the school for these projects to start.
More information about the event can be found via our ticketing platform and in the document below. Scan the QR code on the flyer or click the link below. We look forward to seeing you on the night!
